PURPLETAXi.© replied: "[Her name]'s Purses
Oh yeah handbags.
Gotta have 'em emporium."
<3 replied: "Try not to have the name have "bag" in it, it sounds weird. Like, take Charlotte Russe for example, its a great name and very unique. And that is what you want, unique."
** hey ** replied: "Fabulous Handbags

lol
idk"
Takeawalk replied: "Baggies

It's My Bag"
CV replied: "Baggy bags"
Ana replied: "Someone suggested Pick-A-Purse and I think its great. If the name is not taken tell her to grab it. The name is unique, fresh, fun and easy to remember. Also if she wants to sell online someday having the word Purse in her name will help a lot for ranking well in Google and Yahoo searches." Where can I take my handbag to have the inside lining repaired? The inside lining of my handbag is unraveling resulting in my having to navigate criss-crossed strings to get to my belongings. It's a nice-looking knockoff of a Prada bag and so far, the local dry cleaner and seamstress have said they don't handle handbags. Please tell me what kind of place fixes or replaces the inside lining of handbags. Amanda S replied: "You might want to try a shoe repair shop. I know our local shop also repairs handbags - not sure about the lining though."
lucia replied: "try and old-fshioned shoe repair shop... I have brought boots, shoes and handbags and they were always able to fix them... or try a tailor..."
Brey replied: "A lot of shoe repair shops repair hand bags."
Suzie Q replied: "You could do this yourself. Just undo the stitching that holds the lining in place, and take it out of the bag. Then make yourself a pattern using the old lining as the template. Cut your new lining out of whatever you want to use (material stores often have different linings on clearance). Sew it up. Make sure you finish off the cut edges so they don't unravel. (From the sound of it, this is what was wrong with the original lining.) Then sew it back in the bag."
herbal_tees replied: "I would suggest the local shoe repair. They work on leather items (or vinyl in this case) and will be able to repair the bag. Chances are he might be able to replace the lining totally with a lining similar to what PRADA uses.
Good luck." How do I get my leather handbag to have a different smell? I just bought a leather handbag and it has a really weird smell - not like normal leather. I was wondering if there was any way to make it have a normal or different (more pleasant) smell? eggyfaeces replied: "shit on it"
. replied: "Check the local department stores and hardware stores for saddle soap. Wash the handbag with the saddle soap. It helps a lot."
Aanngue replied: "Spray it with parfume?"
Edward M replied: "I don't know put an air freshener in it."
southcal4life replied: "maybe you can spray it with body spray."
Saly L replied: "poop in it is the obvious answer. but it only works if you like the smell of poo"
Elena . replied: "um , i would go for washing it , look at the instruction's on the tag;
plus the more you wear it the more it wear's out & stop's smelling weird :)"
~UZi~ replied: "lit a candle up ..the rub the wax alont the inside and the outside pockets"
Meri replied: "Leave a few scented dryer sheets in there for a few days. That should help. There is a lavender-vanilla one on the market, I forget who makes it, that I have been using on my hairbrush to prevent static cling. It smells great!"
Sonny Pogi replied: "There's only one thing i found effective to remove smell...Ionizer. Try exposing it to an ionizer...if you don't have one, a car ionizer is not so expensive (those things you stick into the cig lighter socket). If it doesn't work, try drying it under the sun (and in open air). when the smell's gone, put leather conditioner (the thing you'ld put on your jacket to make it softer and nice-smelling)"
Toby replied: "When leather is stored in a box it will have a strong odor to it. Your handbag may have been stored for a while and just put out on the shelf before you purchased it. It will air out after a few days. You want to make sure you let it air out naturally. Leather is porous and needs to breathe. Leave it sit out in open space. Make sure it is not in a bag or the box if it came in one. You can also try cleaning it with a leather conditioner or leather cleaner that you should be able to get at a shoe store or a leather store." How do you tell whether or not handbag is counterfeit? Im trying to find a d&g handbag for my gf. But I dont want to be tricked into getting a fake one. How do you tell? Amber C replied: "go to the store and buy one"
classicgirll replied: "the price, really."
Madison <3 replied: "on most fake handbags, sometimes the label is crooked, also sometimes that stitching is improper
that is all i had wrong w/ mine"
<3 replied: "if its made in china its real if its made in u.s.a its ffakke"
Saiyuki_Anyone? replied: "There is not a plethora of informational websites on how to spot a counterfeit D&G bag (unlike Chanel and Vuitton). What I suggest is to just go to D&G's respective website and just familiarize yourself with the bags in their lineup as well as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue. Also, familiarize yourself on how they price their bags. If you find a site and the price just looks too good to be true, it isn't. Crooks will say and do anything to get your money.
If you see a D&G bag and you are unsure whether it is authentic, I would suggest showing a picture of that bag and posting it on the Purse Forums, authentication section: Those ladies will definately let you know if the bag is authentic or not."
Kyu K replied: "yopu open your eyes sir. If you see it looks like not in the middle the label it's wrong and you take that bag to the police!"
Cindy L replied: "look at the color of the thread on the bag also inside there is sum sort of paper or patch that proves it is a genuine bag :)"
reprivott replied: "I would say the best way to go about it is find the manufacturer/company that makes the handbag and ask them what is the traditional/trademark appearance the handbag should have." How do I get rid of leather handbag inventory? My mother wants to clear out her leather handbag inventory of approximately 850 pieces. She doesn't have a store to have a sale, or know how to clear it out for the best price. Any ideas? alecs replied: "I think a garage sale will do. or maybe check the location of a flea market, you can do it by consignment, or better still get a stall and sell them yourself."
anyer replied: "em, she can ask some local fashion store to put her bags to display here and sale, of course give parts of the profits to the store owner, negotiate if possible.
Apart from the topic, if you go dropship, which will not have the issue of runing inventory."
red riter replied: "Consignment sales through local boutiques and shops in your area. Usually 50/50 split of gross sales price."
Keep On Trucking replied: "You will have to sell them for less than the "best price." That is fundamental Economic law. Your supply is high and your consumer demand is low (or they'd be sold already).
Really, I'd visit some local department and specialty stores and make them an offer they can't refuse. If they refuse (or aren't authorized to purchase) get the number for their regional office and talk to the big wigs. Try E-bay for any thing you can't sell.
If you want to get really agressive, OPEN a store or even just a kiosk at the mall from now through Christmas. You may or may not make more money that way, but that's business.
Good luck!" How do I clean a pink suede handbag? My favourite pink suede handbag is looking faded and generally grubby. Any suggestions on how best to clean it welcome. Tried dry cleaning shops but no one seems to clean suede. Tempted to shove it in washing machine but that's prob a really bad idea! afbrat93 replied: "Cleaning suede isn't easy. You could try wiping a damp, almost dry wash cloth or paper towel. I saw a suede cleaner at Payless Shoe Source. It might work for bags I'm not completely sure."
bebop_music replied: "go to the shoe repair place or the local supermarket shoe polish isle and get a small can of spot remover/dry cleaning fluid. Get a small brush meant for suede. put the liquid on a clean cotton cloth and rub in circles all over the spots. finish off by buffing the suede up with the brush to raise the nap. let if dry and the cleaning fluid smell wear off (usually over nite) and your bag should be sitting pretty !"
Heather B replied: "There is an easy suede cleaner in the shoe department! It sprays on and then it has a brush on it. check walmart-the cheapest price!"
ann s replied: "put the kettle on and use the steam from the kettle it really works well on swede" How do I remove stains on the inside of a handbag? I recently bought this leather handbag (Banana Republic) from Ebay but when I got it in the mail today, the outside of the handbag looks fine but the inside has stains on the very bottom and around the sides. What materials can I use to remove these stains? Any suggestions are appreciated. Tamara9954 replied: "Is the inside lined or is the leather stained? If it's leather, I'd leave it alone. Anything you would use could bleed through and be noticeable on the outside. If it's lined, try pulling the lining out and carefully clean with a soapy damp sponge. If it is leather, and the stains really bother you, take it to a reputable leather cleaner." Is it alright to wear a white handbag in the winter? On vacation in Florida in February? I love this white handbag and want to get it, but it will snow here soon and I was wondering if black may be better? I've never been a fan of black handbags, there's just something too dramatic about them for me.
Is it stupid to wear a white handbag while on vacation in Florida in February? Maddie replied: "ha ha, no one cares what color the headband is as long as it looks good."
MOM W replied: "No, it's not stupid period. You can where whatever, whenever you want!"
Gerry replied: "Florida is a warm state and you can wear white!"
Yahzmin: Semiretired replied: "No white after Labor Day is a LONG outdated idea. You can use and wear pretty much anything in any color -- especially in Florida!"
Sunshine_Sasha replied: "Whoever makes those types of fashion rules obviously isn't fashion savvy. It's is absolutely okay to carry any bag that you love when you want to. If you have something that looks great with your outfit and is your arm piece, then by all means carry it. I'm sure it will look fabulous!!!"
Knome Lover replied: "who cares....fashion rules are meant to be broken"
Kirstin R replied: "yes of couse its ok to wear a white handbag just make sure that you mix it with a different colour, black and white is in this season, but pastel colours will go to!"
Misty Fied replied: "I don't think the fashion police are going to give you a ticket, honey, just do whatever you want!"
abigail replied: "no... its fine"
magnolia813 replied: "NO it is not stupid, in fact that old fashion faux pau went out in the last few years...Some of the great designer, Maxx of New York, Kathy VanZeeland are making purses for winter in white because just because the seasons change has nothing to do with what we like or want to where. Places like FL there is not a time when they ever stopped wearing white that I am aware. So, you take that purse you love and where it with your head held hight and have a great time in Florida!
Kathy"
Phalene replied: "Old miss manners will tut, but white in the winter can look exciting. That being said, if you're going to Florida it's always pretty warm there, so you can probably throw the labour day rules out the window. Where I stayed, a golf shirt was dressing up."
geraldine replied: "i wear white when it snows, u wear what u want and dont mind what anyone else thinks"
sheyna replied: "Didn't you see the movie Serial Mom? It's your life."
jenna replied: "of course you can wear white. even if you werent in florida you can wear white in winter hence the term 'winter white'.the no white after labor day is so outdated."
ra16297845 replied: "I lived in Naples Fl. for a few years and I found that most of the snow birds follow the dress code no matter what part of the country your in, But If I were you I would do what I want as long as it fits in. Whatever makes you happy, go for it however I would leave the all white back home and try to mix things up a bit. I may be totally wrong about this as I'm a mere man. Remember one very important thing Put on your happy face and smile, smile.smile....."
Bella Baby replied: "you can wear whatever color purse u like .. ur sapossed to wear dark colors for winter and light / bright colors for summer .. but not many ppl go by that .. it dosn't matter .. have fun with wat u wanna wear !" Who will give an appraisal for a designer handbag? I need to get verification that I was sold a fake Fendi handbag and I need the appraisal in less than 10 days. Help! Who would I take it to for an appraisal? Thanks for all suggestions. Saiyuki_Anyone? replied: "In a court of law, an appraisal for a Fendi handbag would be acceptable if it came in writing from an employee at a Fendi boutique or a Fendi authorized dealer such as Neiman Marcus or Barneys." What is the difference between a replica designer handbag, and a regular fake/imitation/knockoff? Is there any difference at all? As a replica, does that mean that the quality is better, and closer to an authentic designer handbag?
I know the difference between a REAL and a FAKE.
I want to know the difference between a FAKE and a "REPLICA", if there is any difference at all. Andi replied: "ok, well there are TONS of differences between a replica and a real designer bag.
-for one most replicas are made in sweatshops, and then illegally imported into the U.S, so if you're thinking about buying one, dont.
-however if you just want to know the difference then:
-the real thing is ALWAYS better quality than a knockoff. im sorry, but i think if you pay hundreds or thousands for a bag, you're going to get better quality then if you pay 20 bucks
-its easy to tell a knockoff from an authentic bag in most cases because:
1. the leather is fake. almost all of those quilted
"leather" bags you see are fake leather, and you can
tell because the leather is way too reflective, and
looks plastic.
2. A real designer bag will actually have the designers
logo on it somewhere. If you look at the knockoff
Coach's you can tell that the C's are actually G's or
they are connected, so that it looks like the bag is
real when its not.
3. It's not hard to tell a knockoff from a authentic bag.
everything on a replica is of lower quality. On a
replica the lining is fake silk, the leather is not real,
and nowhere on the bag will it actually say the
designers name.
I hope this helps, and remember if someone wants you to buy a knockoff "Just say no.""
Sarah W replied: "replica = copy = imitation = reproduction = FAKE!
has nothing to do with quality..."
geofferson_rallon2001 replied: "you will definitely know a copycat when you see one... no matter how ingeniously it is... it will always stand out! and they all go with a dust bag, certification, and serial number... except for those that are mass produced... but the rest... they all come with it specially items from europe... fashion is beyond simply owning the designer's name..it's art so with it comes good stitches, good leather etc etc... and even if it comes with all the necessary identifications such as serials and stuff... you'll know on how it's printed... and most monogram designed handbags are parallel from front to back, from side to side... and you'll fgind the difference in their smell... their leather smells better... go buy an original and a class AAA and smell it...it's totally different. and you'll see that original materials come with a certain obssesive compulsive way on how it's done... very neat, no miscuts, no whatever... from zipper to everything else... it's not just buying the name but the quality of pure artistry... and in a pile of bullocks no matter how old it is... it will stand out..." |
